Speakers for Schools - Group Registrations and Discovery Workshops

Please find below a number of opportunities that we think may be of interest to you and your students. We have a number of Discovery Workshop and Insight Days available, offering meaningful work experience for your students.

What is a Discovery Workshop?
A discovery workshop is a 1-2 hour session which enables live employer interaction with large groups of young people virtually via our Google meet platform. This can be done within a classroom setting or with whole year groups.

What does a Discovery Workshop look like?

Teacher will introduce the session and work through any pre-placement work the employer provides.
Live employer talk, streamed into your classroom.
Q&A session with the employer facilitated by the teacher through the google meet Q&A function.

Virtual Insight Days for group registrations.

This experience allows teachers to sign up a group, class or year group of young people for a virtual insight day. Individuals need not apply via the Experience portal.

These days will largely take place during term time and during the school day and young people will need to access the opportunity via individual devices to enable interaction with the employer, other young people and participation in group activities.

How would this work?

Teachers will fill in the form below, selecting the opportunity they would like to put their students on.
They will then receive an email confirming that their students have been selected to participate.
Teachers will then provide a list of student names and email addresses and students will directly receive individual logins to take part in the experience.
The students will participate in the experience activities on separate devices alongside other students who have applied for the opportunity through the portal.
