Measles, Chickenpox and Shingles
Dear Parents and Carers,
Measles, Chickenpox and Shingles
One of our students is receiving medical treatment at Bristol Children’s Hospital which puts them at risk if they are exposed to Measles, Mumps, Chickenpox or Shingles.
Please let us know immediately if your child is suspected of having measles. We also need to be made aware if your child has diarrhoea and vomiting, flu-like symptoms, slapped cheek or any other illness.
Our student is also at risk from chickenpox and would require a medical review within three days of contact. If your child is suspected of having chickenpox, you should let us know immediately.
It is also important that you let us know if there is shingles in your household.
Please note our student’s medical issue poses no risk to any other student (or to staff members).
Yours faithfully,
Mr. Randle
Principal
