P16 Calculators

Dear parent/carer,

Thank you for choosing WHA Post 16. As your child is studying A-level maths, they will need to use a more advanced calculator than the one that was required for GCSE maths.

• If they are studying A-level maths, they will need at least the Casio FX-991CW
• If they are studying A-level further maths, they will need the Casio FX-CG100, which would also be extremely useful in A-level maths.

Please note, only one of these is required, not both.

We can source these calculators at educational prices and offer them to you at cost, as follows:

Casio FX-991CW for A-level maths – £22

Casio FX-GC100 for A-level further maths – £81

If your child is in receipt of a bursary, this could be used to contribute towards the cost of the calculator, for more information email bursary@wha.clf.uk. If you are not sure if your child is entitled to a bursary, please apply anyway. To apply, please scan the QR code.

WARNING: Please do not buy these calculators online, even from Amazon, as there are a huge number of fake calculators on the market. If you’d prefer not to buy them from us, they are available to buy from e.g. Ryman.
