Invitation to Winterstoke Hundred Academy’s Termly SEND engagement forum.

I hope this letter finds you well. As part of our commitment to fostering a strong and collaborative partnership between parents and carers/guardians and our school community, I am thrilled to invite you to the termly engagement forum.

Date: Thursday 16th November
Times: 4pm- 5.30pm
Location: Winterstoke Hundred Academy, Beaufighter Road, BS24 8EE.

At Winterstoke Hundred Academy, we recognise the essential role that parents and carers/guardians play in education, especially when it comes to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our termly forum is designed to facilitate collaboration, provide valuable information, and consider effective strategies for effective learning and engagement for your child.

Here is what you can expect from our upcoming forum:

  1. Meet the SEND team: Get to know some of our dedicated team members who work to support those with unique learning needs. There is an opportunity to connect with the professionals who assist the educational journey of your child.
  2. Information sharing: We will share important updates, resources and initiatives related to SEND education, ensuring you remain up to date with the latest developments.
  3. Effective learning strategies: Discover practical strategies and tools that can help your child to thrive both academically and socially. Staff will provide insights and tips to support the learning journey.
  4. Collaborative engagement: Engage in open discussions, ask questions and exchange ideas with other parents/carers and guardians to foster a sense of community and mutual support.
