University opportunity for WHA students

A member of staff from the University of Bristol visited Winterstoke Hundred Academy (WHA) to speak with Sixth Form students about the exciting opportunity to apply for the Access to Bristol program.

This initiative is part of Bristol University’s widening participation scheme, aimed at providing students with valuable exposure to university life and enhancing their application potential.

The Access to Bristol program offers a six-week course, which includes subject-specific study sessions, tasters of what university-level learning in their chosen field might entail, as well as comprehensive support with UCAS applications and interview preparation.

Students who complete the program will be eligible for a contextual offer from the University of Bristol, making this an invaluable opportunity for those considering higher education.
