Winterstoke Hundred Academy hosts successful Careers Day
Winterstoke Hundred Academy (WHA) recently staged a highly successful Careers Day for its Year 12 and 13 students. The event aimed to inspire students by providing them with insights into a range of career opportunities and higher education pathways.
A diverse selection of employers and higher education providers participated in the event, delivering engaging talks and hands-on workshops designed to help students explore potential career paths and plan their next steps.
Visitors included representatives from University College Weston, Thatchers, Womble Bond Dickinson, the NHS, Bridgwater and Taunton College, University of the West of England, and EDF Energy.
Nigel Halliday, the academy’s Careers Advisor, said: “Students had great fun, and it has given them lots to think about in terms of career paths and next steps.”
The event was part of WHA’s ongoing commitment to preparing students for life beyond school, offering them direct access to industry professionals and higher education institutions.
