National Apprenticeship Week & Virtual Work Experience – Speakers for Schools

With National Apprenticeship week, fast approaching this is the last chance to register your interest to attend Discovery Workshops. The short bitesize sessions are an opportunity for your students to learn about the different career pathways available to them. These sessions can be streamed into your classroom. Register your interest before the 31st January to attend.

From the 7th to 11th February, University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust are offering 5 x 1-hour sessions being delivered daily across the week with young apprentices attending to share their experiences with your students, whilst giving them the chance to learn about the different healthcare professions and pathways available.

On the 8th February, Willmott Dixon – South West (ID, 2638) are offering a session to any one with an interest or wanting to expand their knowledge of the Construction and Management to attend to learn more about the pathways available to them.

On 14th February, Co-Op legal service (ID 2619) are offering a session to learn more about the different legal and business professions across the company. Primarily known as a retailer, Co-Op has a vast range of jobs. During the session you will hear from individuals within the business and about the different levels of apprenticeships available.

Hot on the heels of National Apprenticeship Week, we have 3 local employers from across the region offering half-term placements. We would welcome you to promote these opportunities to any students who have a keen interest in STEM

  • 3-day VWEX from 22nd February: DSTL– closing date for applications on 4th February
  • 1 day VWEX on 23rd February: Severn Trent – closing date for applications on 4th February
