Financial Studies provides an in-depth exploration of the key concepts of personal financial capability and how they are applied to achieve longer-term financial sustainability. Finance covers managing your money as well as saving and investing. It encompasses budgeting, banking, insurance, mortgages, investments, savings, and retirement, income tax and National Insurance. It also covers the entire industry that provides financial services to individuals as well as who advises us about financial and investment opportunities and the consumer protection put in place by the UK government.
Individual goals and desires—and a plan to fulfil those needs within your financial constraints—also impact how you approach the above items. To make the most of your income and savings, it’s essential to become financially savvy—it will help you make intelligent financial decisions so that you can take ownership of your own financial future, footprint and credit score.
